Sometimes you need to block access of any software or application in Windows from using internet. The following steps will help you stop software from using your internet connection in Windows 7:
1. Go to Start menu, Control Panel and choose Windows Firewall. Alternatively, you can also access Windows Firewall by going to Start menu and select Run. In the Run box, enter firewall.cpl and then click OK.
2. Click the “Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall” link.
3. Now click Change Settings.
4. Uncheck the box (left to the program name) of the program you want to block. When the box is unchecked, the firewall will block it from connecting to the internet.
5. To save your settings, click OK.
